This MVP is built for people evaluating Seattle neighborhoods without relying on a car.
Current Methodology
Scores use each census block centroid, the nearest qualifying park, and an approximate street-grid walking multiplier. This revamp improves the visual boundary layer, while true walking-network time remains the next scoring upgrade.
Nature Included
The current dataset emphasizes substantial parks and green spaces of roughly 20+ acres. Smaller pocket parks, school fields, and playground-only spaces are not treated as core nature access.
Limitations
The current scores do not yet account for hills, trail entrances, park quality, transit fallback, or exact pedestrian network routes.

Leaflet, OpenStreetMap, Seattle neighborhood boundaries, Seattle census block polygons, and the project's curated Seattle parks dataset.
